Elliot Fraker is a civil litigator whose broad legal experience spans commercial litigation, business transactions, corporate law, trusts and estates, probate, medical malpractice, municipal law, and bankruptcy. His practice is focused primarily on litigation, with particular emphasis on commercial and business disputes.
Drawing on his education and experience in both law and business, Elliot approaches each matter with an understanding that legal disputes rarely exist in isolation. He works to understand not only the legal issues involved, but also the practical, financial, and operational considerations that shape a client’s objectives. His broad-based experience allows him to evaluate matters from multiple perspectives, identify potential issues early, and pursue strategies tailored to each client’s circumstances and goals.
Elliot earned his J.D. from Washington University in St. Louis School of Law, where he was named to the Dean’s List four times. During law school, he served as Executive Notes Editor of the Washington University Journal of Law & Policy, helping oversee the editorial process for scholarly legal publications. He was also a founding member of the Business and Law Society and served as Treasurer of Phi Alpha Delta, an international legal fraternity.
Before attending law school, Elliot graduated cum laude from Arizona State University’s W. P. Carey School of Business with a Bachelor of Science in Marketing. His business education provides a valuable foundation for his legal practice, particularly when representing companies, business owners, and other clients in matters involving commercial relationships, organizational decision-making, and financial considerations.
A native of Northern Illinois, Elliot grew up in Belvidere and graduated from Belvidere North High School. While completing high school, he also earned an associate degree from Rock Valley College, reflecting the initiative and work ethic that continue to inform his approach to the practice of law.
Outside the office, Elliot is a devoted Chicago sports fan, middling golfer, and an avid traveler. He also enjoys hiking, skiing, and spending time with Remi, his rescue beagle mix.
